2024 서울국제도서전
2023년에 이어 2024년 서울국제도서전 ‘주제관’과 ‘한국에서 가장 좋은 책’ 섹션의 비주얼과 공간을 디자인하고 만들었습니다. 주제관은 올해 주제인 ‘후이늠(Houyhnhnm)’의 세상에서 나는 어떻게 나아갈 것인지 생각해 보고 경험해 볼 수 있는 공간입니다.
‘후이늠(Houyhnhnm)’은 걸리버가 네 번째 여행지에서 만난 말(馬)의 나라로, 주제관에서는 ’후이늠‘을 연상시키는 ’말‘을 마주할 수 있습니다. ’후이늠‘을 키워드로 큐레이션된 400권의 도서를 통해 우리가 어떤 미래를 그려야 할지, 우리가 바라는 것들로 가득한 ’후이늠‘의 세계를 생각해 볼 수 있습니다.
A consecutive work from last year, we designed visuals and space for the Theme Exhibition and the ‘Best Book Design from Korea’ section at the 2024 Seoul International Book Fair. The Theme Exhibition invites the audience to reflect on and experience how one must pursue one's life in the world of Houyhnhnm.
Houyhnhnm, meaning ‘land of horses,’ is the country Gulliver encounters in his fourth journey. Upon entering the Theme Exhibition area, the audience meets a horse inspired by Houyhnhnm. Through a selection of 400 books under the keyword thereof, the exhibition presents the optimistic world of Houyhnhnm.
